    Near the fort of Lisin Beag stands a blackthorn tree which the people believe to be three hundred years old.
    No one has ever touched or eaten the luscious berries with which it is clothed in Autumn.
    To do so would bring death and misfortune.
    Round it, on moonlight nights, the fairies dance and hold their revels. Woe to the passers-by who
