He was appointed bailiff for Cecil McGloughlin - landlord's agent -. McGloughlin was made landlord after Dunville the old landlord went insane. Thomas Price was bailiff for Dunville. McGloughlin was a born gentleman. The same can indeed be said of John Murphy.
