  1. Long ago before people knew of barometers or thermometers or any of the latter day science they used to judge the weather by various ways. Here are some of their usual theories.
    Red clouds in the west at sunset especially when they have a tint of purple generally portend fine weather. A yellow or coppery sky usually portends rain.
    If a rainbow was seen on Saturday they believed that the following week would be wet. Also wet Friday, wet Sunday. When
