    on Whit Sunday nobody goes near water because it is said that if you go near water you will surely fall in. The schoold is closed on Whit Monday.
    On May Day people do not give away anything. The do not throw out ashes on that day. On that morning if a washes his face with the dew before the sun rises it is said that he will not get any lumps on his face or he will not get sun-burned for the the year.
    On Saint John's night people make bonfires.
