  1. The wall of the houses long ago were made from sticks which were called wattles, and clay. When the clay dried with the sun it got very hard. The roofs were made of bog deal rafters and thatched with heather. The heather was got in the bog.
    There was a bed in the kitchen long ago. It was called the hag or the cailleach.
