    The name of my townland is Spaddagh. It is in the Parish of Annagh and in the Barony of Costello. There are nine families, and twenty eight people living in my village. The family name most common is Lyons. There are mostly thatched houses there are only four slated houses in the village. It was at one time nothing but bog and brown turf was the only
