  1. There is a well situated in the village of Coolnafarna known as Tobar Ár Noamh or St. Patrick's well. Long ago it was a common custom for people to visit this well. They visited it annually and made stations on Tuesdays and Sundays in July and August. Each went seven times round the well and said the rosary each time barefooted.
    According to tradition St. Patrick blessed this well on his journey to the West. Nowadays these practices are not kept up by the present generation as it was in bygone times. There
