  1. There are three tailors in this district. Tora, Malone and John Gibbons Ballintubber and Jim Mullaney (Belcarra. They work in their homes.
    The tailor does not stock cloth. The cloth is not spun and woven locally. The types of cloth used are: serge, tweed, and corduroy. People say that a tailor is only the ninth part of a man.
    The implements the tailors use are a scissors, a smothing iron, an inch tape a thimble a needle and a sewing maching.
    Most people long ago used to spin their own thread and then knit their own stockings.
    Black clothes are worn at the death of a person and different colours are worn at marriages.
