- Gates and stiles: Gate posts of Mourne granite. The ‘eye’ to take rod of gate is imbedded in the stone; does not pierce it with a fastening at the back as in other specimens. The selections re above, however, appear to be: imbedded type: for gates or gateways rather entering the family dwelling or yard.
