There was a man lived near Carrigbyrnne by the name of Tom Gleeson

    (continued from previous page)
she pulled up the bucket altogether it wasn't water she had in it but her own son, Jim.
Jim never could be got to do any work, but would do whatever he liked. He often stayed away from home for days, and when he would come home his mother would ask him was he hungry, and he would tell her that he had eaten nothing since the time he left home, but wasn't a bit hungry. But one time Jim left home and was away for a very long time and never returned. Everybody around the locality were of the opinion that he had something to do with the "good people." His poor mother was very fond of him and never did any good when he died, and after a couple fo years she died also.
