    Folklore
    In olden times the Irish people had a great beliefe in fairies on land and water.
    Fairies on water were known as mermaids. They lived in the parish of Bodyke in olden times a woman named Peter Tadg Wee and it is supposed that after her death she used to be seen in a small lake in that parish every New Year's morning the same as when she living. Bridie Woods Faha
