Ar an leathanach seo

While this work is being done in the garden the housewife is very busy cutting the seed. Then the seeds are sown in the drills and they are covered with a plough. When the potatoes begin to appear above the ground they are "tossed" as it is said locally. Then after about a month they are solftened, that is, more clay is put to them. When they are almost fully grown they are sprayed for fear the blight would destroy them. In Autumn they are dug and pitted.
