    May is thought to be an unlucky month for a marriage and June the best month of the year. The days are :- Monday for health, Tuesday for wealth, Wednesday the best day of all, Thursday for losses, Friday for crosses and Saturday the worst day of all.
    Matches used to be made more frequently in this district but the custom is gradually dying out. Money is generally given as dowry, but no one ever gives stock or goods to the girl. People do not remember marriages taking place in houses in this district.
