  1. 1) Oh fare ye well Old Ireland and likewise the Blackthorn,
And fare ye well Loughinlea, that place where I was born

In pulling the bill-berries, that decks the Loughinlea.

In that Summer month of sweet July, when all nature does seen gay,
The boys and girls from far and near, around there they do stray,

You can see Cullen's Grove, and sweet Ardee, and every seaport town,
From the lofty brae in the Loughinlea, and its lovely banks around.
    (4)

    (5)

Which told me of Old Ireland my native Countree.
I dreamed I saw those hills and dells, wherein I used to play
And all my loyal comrades from around the Loughinlea

Now to conclude and in these lines I'll bring them to a close
