Ar an leathanach seo
- Pat Hand, who lived in the townland of Drums Kerry, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, was a poet. He was 70 years old when he died. He is buried in Kingscourt old graveyard. There was no poet among his ancestors. He composed a ballad on 'King, the murderer', and another on "The Bandboys of Corlea." He composed them in English. He was a farmer.

With pity now draw near,
A sad and dismal tragedy I mean to let you hear,
That took place in Nolagh town, as you may plainly see,
And for the crime the culprit King died on the gallows tree. It was on the 13th day of January, in the year of '98,
