- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)There is another well up near Carnaross in Meath where people go every year on the first of August; It is called St. Ciaran's well. There is also one in Lavey called St. Brigid's well. Numerous ailments were said to be cured in these wells in olden times.
Cancer the most dreaded disease, is fatal if proper precautions are not taken in time. There is a man living over near Castlepollard who makes the cure and it is a success if made in time before it spreads. It is a plaster that is put over the effected part and left on till it falls off and brings the roots with it. It is said to be very painful at first.- Bailitheoir
