When the children are tired ducking, they put three saucers on the table. One contains a ring, the other soil, and the other water. Each child is blindfolded and walks to the table. If he puts his hand on the ring, it is said he will be married during the year, and if he tips the soil it is meant he will die, and when he tips the water, it is said he will be crossing water soon.
When all the fun is over, the children sit round the table for tea. There is a barm brack with a ring in it. The person who gets the ring will be married during the year.
After the supper, all the children sit round the fire and the men and women tell them stories(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
