Ar an leathanach seo
- There is one forge in this parish. Miles Flynn is the smith. The forge is situated beside the village of Blacklion, Co. Cavan. It is thatched. The door is an oblong shape, there is one fire-place in it.
It is a very old building. The bellows is for blowing the fire with, to make it burn up quickly.
The smith makes ploughs, and spades, picks and shoes for horses. He shoes horses and donkeys. There is an anvil in the forge on which the smith puts the iron he is hammering out.
Sometimes the smith works outside.
