  1. The Church Yard Field is in the townsland of Kildavin. It is situated by the bank of the Slaney on Mr. Redmond's land.
Old Kildavin was where this field is, in about the sixth and seventh centuries. There was a monastery, chapel and graveyard there. St. Abban lived there in the time of St. Patrick St. Abban came up from Wexford. There is a blessed well at the bottom of the field, it was blessed by St. Abban. It is about two ft. in from the bank of the Slaney and can only be seen in the Summer, when the river is shallow. It is said to be one of the oldest blessed wells in Ireland.
In the year 626 St. Duban lived there, that was after St. Abban. It was from St. Duban that Kildavin got its name. It is Kildavin or Kilduban.
    The Graveyard can be seen
