- Th most common wild birds that migrate and are found in this district are the swallow and the cuckoo. The swallow builds her nest under the eve gutter. The cuckoo builds no nest she lays her eggs in other birds nest especially the sparrow. The swallow sits on the eggs three weeks as also the sparrow. It is said if a boy robs a swallows nest the cows or goats of his parents will milk blood. When a swallow flies low the weather will be bad when he flies high it will be good. The robin is supposed to have brought apples to our Lord when he was on the cross and while he was doing this the thorns stuck in its breast ever since a robins breast is red.
