  1. There are not many monuments in this district. In a field of James Floods of Ballyglisheen about one hundred yards from the main road there is an old standing stone. This old stone was standing until it fell.
    On the top of this stone there was the print of two feet. The old people say it was a man that was turned into a stone for working on Sunday. He was turned into a stone standing on his head. The old people called it "clohar stuck".
    In the townland of Goolin there are two stone circles. One is on the top of the hill and the other is by the side of the river. The fence around the one on the top of the hill is about nine feet high. In this circle there are two gaps leading east and west. In those gaps no heather or shrubbery ever grow. Just opposite it there is another circle and there are two ways leading into it north and south. In those gaps no trees ever grew.
    There is an ancient cross in Kavanagh's field in Tinnecarrig. It is about nine feet high. There are some point on it but it cannot be found out.
    There is another stone in Ballyroughan by the side of the well. There is a holy water font attached to it. It fell and they buried it in
