- When my grandfather was a young man, he was coming home from Cloughan at about twelve o'clock one night. When he came to the big bridge on the Clonlyon bog-road he met a man going home from rambling and they stood for a chat. After a while, my grand-father saw another man standing on the side of the road, and he said to himself. I will go now because i'll be metting another chat here above. When he came up to the man he found that he had no head, then he began to get afraid, the hat lived of his head and the swet dropped of him and he as hardly able to walk. After some time he saw a light in a house and he went in and told the people of the house his story and they said that was no wonder because that ghost was seen there various times.
