  1. The Local Tailors.
There are no tailors in this Parish now. There are two near the Parish. Mr Spollen is one. He lives in Rahan. My father is the other. He lives in Ballycumber. He does not stock his own cloth. They do not go from house to house when they are making the suits for the people. Long ago the tailors used to go around from house to house making the clothes. While they were making the suit the people in the house would have to feed them.
The tailors have a place for working on called a bench. It is a long wide place. It is made from boards. He sits in that with his legs crossed. The implements the tailor uses are a thimble, chalk, scissors, needles, a tape and thread and a sewing machine.
