  1. History of Kilpatrick
    Well! Kilpatrick is situated in the middle of the Island not far from the main road. It is a very nice townland with beautiful trees and hedges dividing it each field.
    There are mostly all farmers in it. There is a beautiful well in Charles Bermingham's field known as Saint Patrick's well.
    There is also a well situated in Henry Rourke's field just above it grows a tree with the mark of Saint Patrick's hand on it.
    There is a lot of houses in Kilpatrick some of which are slated ones.It is also situated beside the Silver River. The chapel is situated in Kilpatrick also. Some one may ask how Kilpatrick got it's name. Well! I will relate to you the following short story.
    Many hundred years ago, Saint Patrick passed through Kilpatrick and he was going to be killed in a field at the back of Charles Bermingham's house. The field is called
