  1. The Poll light is a light that is supposed to follow certain families. It is the shape of the sun and comes along moving up and down. This light comes from the "Poll" graveyard which is in Ballygarvan and people who have seen it say that it keeps moving up and down.
    It is said that if anyone meets the "Poll" light and that he does not move aside to let it pass it will go through him.
    When any member of the Henessey family is about to die, the "Poll" light is seen by someone. This light has been seen for many years now as far back as can be remembered. There are many branches of the Henessey family in this part of the country. The
