- Long ago the lived a woman who was 203 years of age. This day a friar came to the house and asked her what age she was She said "Go up on that loft and thrown down every bone you get. So the friar went up and when he was awhile up he got tired counting them. So he came down and asked the old woman what adventures she saw in her life. She said, " One day I was going to the well I met a girl in white, she had two dogs with fire coming out of their mouths. I then met the devil in a carriage. He asked me did I meet a girl in white robes and I said I did. As soon as I said these words the earth opened and let down the carriage.This story was told to me by Patrick Gillispie (60) Native of Louth.
