- Lot very long ago there lived a priest in this parish named Father Frank O Farrell. He was parish priest in this parish for a good number of years.
One day a blind man was brought by a kind neighbour to the priest. The two men were welcomed by the priest and he brought them up to his drawing room and served tea to them. When the meal was over the blind man asked the priest could he do anything for him. The priest told the other man to go out of the room and not to stand near the door. The man obeyed and went into the next house and stopped there for a time.
Father O Farrell asked the man did he do such a thing and he said "No" The priest asked him again and he said "No" again and he shouted at him again the third time. The man then asked him "Is anyone here", and the priest said. "There is no person here but myself and Almighty God". So the man told him the truth. The priest put him on his knees and he took out his prayer book and read for a long time over the man.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
