  1. We make brown-bread, soda-bread, griddle-bread, rhubarb and apple tart, pancakes and boxty.
    We grow our own wheat and we have our own flour then. We half our own flour with half of the shop flour. To make apple-tart we make pastry and we roll it out on a plate with a rolling pin. Then spread sliced apples on it.
    Then we put another layer of pastry on them. Then make a small cross in the middle of the pastry and put it in the oven to bake. Rhubarb-tart is made in the same-way except that you use rhubarb instead
