    Where friars were kept long ago they left cures to the people of those houses. Those people cannot give the cures to others but they are passed from generation to generation.

    Killare is the oldest churchyard here - over 100 years. No Irish inscriptions.

    Oldest inscription in Boher Churchyard is that of 1847 on Savage's tomb of Bracknahevla on whose land the church and schools are built.
