    Nettles and thistles make a splendid spring tonic. Wocks [?] cure nettle stings.
    Lambo - quarter cure warts. Long ago they used to boil nettles and used them with bacon.
    People still cut up nettles and use them for feeding turkeys. All cures were made from herbs in former times.
    Many sufferers were relieved by these means.

  2. In former times people did not wear boots, until they were between the ages of seventeen and twenty. I know a man who was acquainted with a man of seventy four years of age, who had never worn boots in his life.
