  1. Once there was a widow living in the bog. She had a piece of land, called the 'smoothing iron.' Her name was Anne, and she had a labourer working for her. This workman used to buy and sell cattle for her. One day he went to a fair, and bought three cattle for her. Two of them died, and the third one was a calf. After two years, the cow became a calf. The widow called the cow after the labourer. The workman's name was 'Black Roger.'
The cow was very wicked, and she was not let anybody milk her only the widow, and 'Black Roger.' One day, three men went to cut down an ash tree, that was in the same field, as the cow. The cow would not let them cut it down.
