  1. Long ago, there lived a lovely maiden. She was accused of a crime, of which she was innocent. She was put in prison, until the day of execution would come. When the day came, she went to the stake guarded by soldiers. When they reached the stake, the soldiers lit the faggots. When the faggots were lit, and the fire was blazing the maiden stepped into the fire. The fire quenched, and soon as she was inside and the sticks, grew into evergreen bushes. Among those bushes, there grew different kinds of roses. The sticks that burned, were red roses, and the sticks that were not burned, were white roses. It is said that this maiden, was the first saint to be canonized.
    The End.
