gold was hidden, and said "if you dig there, you will find the gold and mind 'ya you'll not have to dig very deep two or three feet; let this be true or untrue nobody ever tried their luck.,". Shortly after this happened the man died, when this took place the man was 74 yeas old. The place where the gold is supposed to be hidden is called the "Pinnacle". It is part of the remains of an old monastery which was supposed to belong to the "Black Friars". St Mochtas monastery stands on the opposite side a little to the north west. This monastery together with Saint Mochtas was destroyed by Cromwell. This story was related to me by my father.
