When the hay is cut in the Summer time the sheep are put in to fatten in the after-grass. The grass is very soft and sappy, and sometimes the sheep get so full of grass that they are not able to chew the cud, and they throw up the grass again.
My father has a cure for that.
He goes to where there are white thorn bushes and he gets some clay from under the roots of the bushes.
He brings it home and he boils it in milk. He strains it and he gives the milk to the sheep. Very often the sheep are better the next day.
