If you found a needle outside your door on a May morning you would not have much luck for the year butter-making.People used go to the bounds of four farms to get water.This water when put into one's own churn was the means of stealing the other person's butter.It takes a half an hour to make a churn.In winter it takes longer.The stock is worked up and down .When the butter is made the butter- milk is put into a bucket .The butter is then salted in a butter-tub.The butter-milk is used for drinking and bread-butter-milk(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
