    Forty years ago the townland contained about thirty acres of woods. All have been cut down. No fresh woods were planted.
    The townland took its name from the church of Saint Feicin the site of which is on Mr John Prouts's farm. Recently the Irish land commission built a house for Mr. Prout on portion of the site.
