  1. It is not known of any Giant or warrior who had lived in my district long ago and it is not known of any river or lake or mountain which have been called after him. Long ago in the time of the back and tan's there was a great fight at Ross. Parish. Borrisoleigh. and there were a good many people killed in the fight also and this scene is still pointed out it is not known of any giants or warrior who hurled a rock from place to place.
