    bloor in the forge. It is a wheel that is turned about it blows wind and lights the fire. The smith shoes horses and asses. He puts a piece of iron into the fire when it is red he can shape it into anything he like. The smith in my district makes all sorts of implements for the farm such as ploughs and harrows.

  2. There are two forge's in this district. The smiths are Patrick Bourke, Cullohill, Borrisoleigh and Joseph McLoughney Glentare, Borrisoleigh Co. Tipperary. Patrick Bourke is about the eight generation of smiths. Joseph McLoughney is the first smith of the family. Patrick Bourkes forge is situated on the public
