  1. Long ago three mowers went into the Abbey field in Kilmallock to mow the hay. One of the mowers was a champion and was too good for the others and when evening was drawing near he heard a voice behind him say "Draw your strokes easy", Draw your strokes easy, Draw your strokes easy". He looked round but saw nobody. He worked on till night, then he went home and went to bed. During the night he got a pain in his hand and it nearly rotted off him.
