  1. Home-made Toys

    There are a lot of toys which children at home make during the long winter nights, They make dolls, flying kites, balls, whistles and scooters.
    Children spend many an hour admiring them.
    The toys made at home are more appreciated than the ones that are bought.
    The dolls are made of straw and cloth. The straw is packed into the cloth and then sown at one end. This is called the body. The head is also made with straw and cloth. The hands and legs are made of timber. They are sown to the body with a needle and thread so as they would keep firm.
    The kites are made with sticks, paper and glue and thread. First there are two light sticks tied together crossways. The
