(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)drink from a stream which was flowing by the roadside. When he stood up he was not able to speak. His two companions took him home and put him to bed.
After a while he made signs to them to get him his clothes. They did so and he made signs to them again to get him his hurley and ball. He then walked away with his friends to a field between Corragurm, Mitchelstown Co. Cork and Knockanevin Kildorrery Co. Cork. He made signs to them to stay on the road and he went over the ditch. When he went into the field they heard a loud cheer and they heard the ball being hit by hurleys. After a while he came out and spoke to them. He mentioned the two men who were hurling against him and they were dead before a week. He was telling many things that he knew but a Mitchelstown priest forbade him to say any more. Many members of his family were very lucky. The one thing he told them was to attend mass regularly and devoutly.
