I remember an old woman who lived in Castletownroche when I was a child. Her name was Kit Russell. She was a posthumous child. If any children had craos-ghalar (sore mouth) they were sent to Kit in the early morning to breathe on the sore mouth three times while she was fasting. It was thought to be a most effective cure.
