  1. My home district is a very mountainous one. It is in the parish of Killavullen, North Cork. It is in the Barony of Fermoy. This district is not so thickly populated now as it was long ago before the Famine. The most of the houses are new ones and are roofed with slate.
    There is only one thatched house in the district and it is about three hundred years old. There are three families in the district those are Curtins Twoomeys and Walshes
