  1. There were not many poets in this district long ago. They had no houses of their own but they lodged in the farmers' houses and stayed in every district for more than a week.
    They made songs and poetry of many things in the district. The farmers gave them money and food and would never let them go hungry from their houses. One of them made a song about the River Ross the words of which are not known by anyone now.
