  2. Travelling Folk
    "Jerry the Quality" Jeremiah O' Donovan was born at O' Donovan's Cove Kilcrohane. He was nicknamed "Jerry the Quality" because he was a very well-learned respectable man when he was young. He spent some time in College after which he bought a hotel in Cork. After a while he went to England but he got odd and had to return home and go begging. He was about forty years when he first came to this district and he soon became a favourite with the people. He used
