- In our district certain days are looked upon as being lucky and unlucky. The days that are lucky are, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and the days that are unlucky are Tuesdays and Saturdays. The days of the week on which certain remedies for ailments are applied are Mondays and Thursdays.
People generally begin ploughing on a Monday or a Friday, and they also change from one house to another on a Friday. The people of our district never heard of the Cross-day.
