- There is a fort in Drinagh. It is in a field belonging to Frank Shiel. It is the only fort I know of. There are bushes growing all around it. Outside the bushes a pagan priest is said to be buried. The shape of a tomb is to be seen and it is there the priest is supposed to buried. Inside the bushes there is a big hollow, and in this hollow a big stone is situated.
There were never any fairies seen near it nor at it. I never heard any stories about it. It has no special name; it is always called the fort. The Danes used to walk in a line from that fort to the abbey of Cloontuskert.
