A great number of crafts existed in this town in olden times, but, alas! few of them now survive. Nothing remains of them now, save a glorious memory of them in the minds of the Irish people.

Blood-shot eyes : the bathing of them in cold tea causes them to regain their natural colour.
Whooping Cough : A person having this disease and who drinks the milk left over by a ferret, will in a short time be cured.
