The brush-wood took fire and then the trees took fire. Guards and some other men helped to save a small portion of the tress.

- Mr Michal Murphy's starch factory at Graiguenamanagh was destroyed by fire in 1910. It was the biggest fire ever seen there. The fire started in the drying room at seven o'clock in the afternoon and lasted until twelve o'clock. The workmen and townspeople(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
