- The landlords of this district were Upton, Moutry and, one of the Anketells. The family had been settled about forty years in this district. Some of them were good and others were bad. Sometimes if the tenants did not pay their rent, the landlords would put them out of the houses. When this happened, the tenants emigrated to other countries.
